Is your bottle cloudy, stained, or is there an odor?

Odor, cloudiness and staining

Milk and formula can build up in the bottle and can cause a slight odor. Here’s some things you can try:

  • Odors: Odors may be removed by putting baking soda and warm water in the bottle and cleaning with a bottle brush. To get rid of stronger odors like a sour-milk smell, fill the bottle with warm water, add a teaspoon of baking soda, shake well, and let stand overnight.
  • Stains and Cloudiness: Soak bottle in a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water, and then rinse with cold water, which can help remove stains and cloudiness as well as odors.
